Western Wake Wellness is dedicated to helping you stay safe while we all slow the spread of the Coronavirus. In order to continue to serve you, we have made TeleHealth – an easy-to-use online live video doctor visit – available to patients so they don’t have to travel to our offices unless they absolutely have to.

Virtual visits will help us all slow the spread of the Coronavirus by reducing the risk of exposure for all TeleHealth patients. You will still be visiting with your local provider, just in a slightly different way for the time being.

Here are the steps you need to take to make Telehealth possible.  In order to use Healow for a Telehealth visit with your provider you will need access to a smartphone or web-enabled table, or a computer with a webcam and internet access.

1. Enroll

In order to have a Healow account created, simply call your Family Medical provider’s office, and let them know you would like to enroll. They will ask a couple of simple questions and take it from there.

2. Log in

Once enrolled, you will receive an email with easy-to-follow step by step directions on downloading the app or logging into the website with your new account. (See the video examples below)

3. Schedule a Visit

Scheduling your visits is exactly the same as it has always been. Simply call your provider’s office, and schedule your visit. If you already have an appointment scheduled, it will show up in the Healow patient portal under appointments

Approximately 10 minutes prior to your appointment time, log into your Portal account (in Healow app or on the Healow.com website).

After you select your telehealth visit under Appointments, click Start TeleVisit to display the questionnaire and vitals. After answering any questions that may appear and scrolling down, click submit questionnaire and next to progress to the vitals page. Enter any known vital information and scroll down to click submit Vitals to progress to the next screen.

Select Start TeleVisit to let the provider know you are online and ready to start the visit. Once the provider starts the visit, the video will show a self view in the bottom of the screen with the provider in the main portion of the screen. You can select the chat button to send a message to the provider during the visit. You will also have the option to mute/unmute the microphone during the visit.
